I am always overwhelmed to see Nigeria been noticed globally. Not only in entertainment but now in wealth. Even though Nigerians are not much when it comes to citing the world richest but coming down to Africa, Nigerians have decided to take over from the contending rival,South Africa. Making up to 12 magnates in the list, Nigerian's foremost and industrialist, Aliko Dangote tops the list with a net worth of $21.6bn, Nigeria's Telecomm magnate Mike Adenuga follows making 6th postion with net worth of $4.6bn,the only Nigeria and 2nd woman on the list, Folorunsho Alakija makes 12th postion with net worth of $2.5bn. Others who follow are former governor, Orji Uzor Kalu,Tony Elumelu, Theophilus Danjuma,Femi Otedola,Jim Ovia etc. some other noted Africans on the list,some who made it to the billionaires club are King Mohammed IV of Morocco, South African Johan Rupert(2nd), Morocco's Ali Wakrim and Mohammed Bensalah, Egypt's Ahmed Azz to mention few.
Like seriously, it is very interesting seeing you country name mentioned everywhere but so saddens that proportion of people living in abject poverty which has been coupled with other factors like unemployment,corruption,insecurity etc. Currently it was published that Nigeria is running into a billion dollar debt. Election is coming and more than $100 million will be wasted. Where is it going to be better. I just keep wondering...
