I feel for the family of the doctor who treated the Liberian man,Patrick Sawyer, as he has been confirmed to infected with the Ebola Virus Disease. This was reported today, Monday 4th August , which makes it the second reported Ebola case in Nigeria,revealed by the Health Minister Onyebuchi Chukwu. So far, 70 people who are believed to have made contact with the Liberian victim are been watched closely while 8 of them have already been quarantined in Lagos facility. This is a rumour that Bitter Kola(Garcinia Kola) is effective for its treatment but so far, it has not been scientifically proven.
This is really a bad visit of Patrick Sawyer to Nigeria as many people are of the notion that he intentionally did this harm. So far, the disease has been found only in three African countries , Liberia,Guinea and Sierra Leone, but now Nigeria seem to join them. a total of 1,440 people are being infected while up to 826 deaths have been recorded.
