This is bringing much fear has Ebola virus is finding its way out spreading around the country. The Health Minister, Onyebuchi Chukwu, just revealed that the one of the nurses who attended to the Liberian Ebola patient, Patrick Sawyer, died this morning of the disease in the most populous state in Africa, Lagos,Nigeria. This is the first Nigerian to have died of this disease in Nigeria. Another 5 cases are being treated presently. He suggests Nigeria may have to adopt some of the experimental Ebola therapy used for the two US doctor who contracted the disease in Liberia and are currently receiving treatment in United States.
Death case is increasing at a rapid state where over 850 people have been recorded dead since March, according to World Health Organisation (WHO) and over 1400 infected patients with major concentration Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone. Though Nigeria shares no border with any of this country, where Ebola case is starting is really at alarming rate. I hope something will be done fast.
