EBOLA: NIGERIA RECORDS HER FIRST SURVIVOR

Its really good news to finally have known that its true one can survive Ebola Virus Disease (EVD),though, currently minimal, but with time survivor rate will surely increase. It was reported yesterday that the female doctor who treated,Patrick Sawyer, the Liberian-Ebola patient who brought the disease to Nigeria, was diagnosed to contract the virus and had been admitted since then receiving her own treatment. But as at yesterday, she was reported to have been discharged and be allowed to live her normal life, the Health Minister, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu disclosed. After proper monitoring in the isolation centre by medical experts, they are now satisfied with her recovery status and have been allowed to go home. However,up to 5 others are on the way of full recovery, they are being watched closely owing to the nature of the disease. Currently, 189 people are on surveillance and 5 of them are in Enugu, eastern state of Nigeria, while others are in Lagos,south-western and most populous state in Nigeria.
Although, the clinical trial drug from US, Zmapp, has arrived and its usage has commenced on patients, but there are also some drugs made locally that are also in the same trial status with this drug such as  Nano Silver drug but its approval has been pended due to the fact that it doesn't meet the National Health Research ethic Code while others are in the state of evaluation and have never been administered on any patient.
So far,12 people have been tested positive of Ebola and 4 people died of the disease. The nurse, Obi Justina Ejinolu, one of the first peope who had contact with the Liberia was on campaign by her state government. She thought she never had the disease until her result was brought forth by WHO. Her picture is below.....May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace...
