Sometimes, you are pitiful of some happening and even try to offer an assistance, you get to alt when you find out that the one you are try to save is not even happy about your survival at all... Liberia has made the greatest mistake she will ever recorded. It may not manifest now, but surely will in the nearest future. I can remember vividly that at a point when the Ebola out was so intense and WHO with the affected countries, Nigeria donated not less than $800,000 to aid cater for the victim, health workers and aid the vaccine discovery not know this so called "Country Brother" wish us no good.
Patrick Sawyer, the Liberian who had Ebola, came to Nigeria some few weeks ago and died five(5) days later in Nigeria hospital. Since then, Nigeria has been having problem on those who had contact with him. At first two people where diagnosed positive, the doctor who tried to help Sawyer and a nurse, the nurse died later. Now, 10 others have been confirmed of the disease and not less than 140 people monitored of the disease, what about their families, friends, business colleagues and other citizens they might have just had contact with on the street?
It is obvious this this evil was done intentionally. Do you know that "Arcelormittal," an iron and mining company in Liberia where Patrick works, was aware that he had had contact with his sister who later died ion July 8 of the same disease and he was immediately referred to the Liberian Health Ministry for testing and probably, further treatment this internal memo was sent across the company. Patrick submitted himself to the health ministry and was waiting for the result to come out and be made available to his employer as requested. There was no evidence of him having the disease at that time but he was meant to be monitored for, at least, 21 days before further action would be taken. Sawyer was last received in July 9th after breaking breaking the news of his sister's death. He was later clear to travel by Liberian government, via Deputy Finance Minister for Fiscal Affairs. Sebastian Muah, to travel to Nigeria for ECOWAS convention in Calabar,South-eastern part of the country. Muah admitted he approved Sawyer's travel in an online discussion, but later was unreachable over the phone after numerous citizen raised many questions on him.
Now the information minister is confirming the Deputy Finance minister's action but was trying to cover him up saying the Finance Ministry might not be aware he is under observation in the Health ministry. Is this possible? 7 days before his death is enough to tell where one has Ebola or not as it will be so glaring. Also, Muah should have gathered information about this man owing to the current disease state of the country and its travel effect. So personally, this excuse is not genuine.
Anyway, the deed has been done and I am sure Nigeria will get of this.We are hostile and by that we will survive.
