EBOLA : FIVE NEW CASES CONFIRMED IN LAGOS


                         Lagos state has just confirmed 5 new cases of suspected Ebola virus today, Wednesday 20th August, the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Dr Jide Idris, revealed. This suspects were said to have been discovered yesterday 19th August. Three of the cases are primary contact, those who had direct contact with the Liberian man who brought the disease to Nigeria,Patrick Sawyer,and the other two are secondary. Right now, in the quarantine centre,suspects have risen from two to six people. One of the suspects who was just brought was initially set free after being tested negative,he was among the people present in the airport on the day Sawyer came in.
                           So far, eight suspected cases have been recorded which includes the five that was just brought yesterday, 12 confirmed cases, 5 deaths, 5 discharged, 213 monitored out of which 61 of them will soon complete their 21-day follow-up.
                          Yesterday, Nigeria lost a Senior consultant,Dr Ameyo who was one of the doctors that attended to Sawyer in the hospital. Patrick wanted to run away but this woman never allowed him. She sacrificed her life for her family and other Nigerian citizen. May she be remembered forever.
                             Nigeria must have started the usage of Ebola treatment now, Zmapp, and she is still awaiting other local therapy for approval. Long Lived The World...
