COMMUNITY OF SKATEBOARDING MOURNED THE DEATH OF JAY ADAMS

It is really devastating for all skateboarders around the world that one of the greatest icon has been lost. Jay Adams, aged 53, a pop culture icon and one of the founding members of the #skateboading collective,"Z Boys", was reported to die on Agust 15th on a vacation in Puerto Escondido, #Mexico. He was claimed to have died of heart attack.

Jay Adams who played a vital role in shapping skateboarding as a sport and cultural movement in the 1970's rose to prominence in 2001 when "Dogtown and Z Boys", the documentary film was released. The film demonstrated Jay Adams and his allies, Tony Alva and Stacy Peralta skating in the Santa Monica neighbourhood of #Dogtown...
Jay Adams is really recognised for his distinctive style of surfing influencing his skateboarding and for some fluidity that most skaters could attain. Although, he was tagged with marvelous nicknames like "chosen one" and "pure seed", he shied away from prominent, large and corporate skating competitions.

I am sure skateboarders around the world are still mourning especially the actor,Emile Hirsh who took Jay adams role in the fictional version of Dogtown and Z Boys,"Lords of Dogtown" for his profound salutation on twitter. RIP Ja
