The South African double-amputee sprinter, Oscar Pistorious, shot his model girlfriend out of fear and not anger claiming that he is highly vulnerable, the Defence Lawyer said. Medica expert took to stand saying Pristorious is often the fearless athlete seen on adverts and asking for pity in his favour,the fact that he has no legs. Over the month,Pistorious lawyer had been painting him to be someone who is very obssessed to safety due to the rough childhood he had with a mother who is addicted to alcohol and lived in high-crime-level part of South Africa which was used to explain his reaction on that day of incidence seeing her girlfriend as an intruder. Derman,who had known Pristorious form more than five(5) year testified that he is conditioned to react to auditory stimulus- a result of training starter pistol shot at the start of athletic race.
My question is,could all this be true. He could differentiate his girlfriend's presence from others and led to him shooting her to death...how realistic? Well, if he is found guilty,that's the end of his career as he's going to be bagged with nothing less than 25 years in jail.
