Egyptian court has decided to give life imprisonment to 5 people for allegedly harassing and attacking women on Wednesday during the Abdel- Fattah al Sisi's inauguration celebration held at Tahrir square. This incident happened on June 8 when many Egyptians flock to the inauguration to celebrate Sisi's emergence of power after a long regime of Hosni Mubarak in 2011. The suspects were in possession of knives to scare and attack their victims, sexually harassing and attempting to rape them. there was actually a video posted on Youtube featuring a woman who was seen off to the amulance , brutally injured and stripped off her dress . After the inauguration, Sisi went to visit one of the victim with sincere apology and later odered his interior minister to take necessary action on the case.
Again, another four(4) persons were bagged with 20 years imprisonment for a similar case on January 15 celebration which marke Hosni Mubarak ouster. Women Right group have approximated 250 cases in this regard , mass sexual rape and assault from November 2012 to January 2014.
Will this cause be as a result of the fact that Arabians don't interact with their women. This kind of attitude is rampant in this so-called places. What is the way forward?
