NIGERIA FOOTBALL FEDERAL(NFF) HAS BEEN SUSPENDED BY FIFA...IS THIS CALLED FOR?

                 

                     FIFA has just recently declared the suspension of Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) today, wednesday,July 9th. This is due to the country's government interference in the activities of the association which is against FIFA conduct as Article 13 has resisted any third party interference on any Football Association, emphasising the association independence.

                       The regional High court actually ordered the dismissal of the top executives, President inclusive, to take effect on July 5th and the appointment of caretakers pending the time new election will take place but seems this is not a right decision to make as the international kit sponsor,ADIDAS, as also joined FIFA in this movement. At this point, Nigeria will not be able to partake in any international competition and If this ban is not lifted by July 15th, then Nigeria will not participate in the forthcoming FIFA under 20 on August 4th-24th.

                          Nigeria actually doesn't seem to have reverse their decision owing to the misappropriation of funds by the executive which almost cause strike action of Super Eagle in Brazil. The team decided not to go for training until it was resolved and I guess that was part of what contributed to their LOSS to France. I just hope this issue is resolved as soon as possible.
