Recall that Nigeria Football federation (NFF) had been banned by FIFA a day after the World Cup 2014 ended owing to the fact that Nigerian regional court ordered the removal of NFF President, Aminu Maigari, and other top executives due to mismanagement of funds which almost led the Nigerian team (Super Eagle) from boycotting training in preparation for their next game against France. The match later ended 2-0 in facour of France and this was greatly blamed on the officials. On coming back, the court ordered the removal of the president in which detention followed and care takers were appointed immediately. This court act enraged FIFA with the claim that the country's government is not meant to interfere with the idea of the Football body( conflicting the FIFA act) and a three-day ultimatum was given to reinstate the officials. the fact that Nigerian government didn't respond to this warning led to indefinite suspension of NFF from all international matches. It was said that if the suspension was not lifted by July 15, Nigeria will not be able to participate in the FIFA U-20 which comes up in August.
Now that these officials have now been finally reinstated and FIFA has lifted its ban as of yesterday, Friday 18 July, what do you think will be done towards Nigeria participating in the FIFA U-20? Do you think FIFA is right in its action,if it were to be countries like USA,UK etc will the same action bind?
