I am sure many Greek fans would not sleep yesterday cos it was already midnight and their county team was still on the football pitch trying all effort to make victory out of the match . Athough they had all the chances to make it through to the round of 8, they couldn't just utilize the chanced they came by. The red card given to Oscar Duarte at 66th minute after Costa Rica scored their first goal (52nd minute) was a great loop on the side of the Costa Ricans. No doubt, Greece has good play,superb passes and outstanding crosses but their was a problem somewhere,well i spotted it : Its their STRIKE FORCE. Notice that anytime they made it through to the opponent penalty area, their shot were always getting close even when they had their equalizing goal,it was as a result of a REBOUND. They had a higher Shot on Goal with 18 at the 1st extra time while Costa Rica had on two(2). I thought Greece would convert all the great attempt during the extra time even when KAtsouranis had all the chance but lost it. South American are hardly defeated when it comes to penalties, both playing and goal keeping. Be rest assured that they will score all their goals.
Well I use this chance to congratulate the Costa Ricans for the Job-Welldone. Get set for Netherlands !!
