AMERICAN SOUL LEGEND, BOBBY WOMACK DIES AT 70









For the older generation in the world, Bobby Womack is a legendary song writer and an outstanding recording artistes who had written for different generations of musicians. He died yesterday at 70. Bobby wrote, "Looking for love" and "Its all over now" songs which topped UK chart for The Rolling Stones.

                        Bobby Womack started his musical career in the 1950's where he was the lead singer with his brother in a group called the Valentinos. He also wrote couple of songs and played guitar for some notable prominent artistes such as Sam Cook, Aretha Franklin and Wilson Pickett. In 2009, he was inducted into Rock and Roll Hall of fame for his impact in new generation music acts.
                         Womack who was born in Cleveland, Ohio to a musical family. He was diagnosed of a severe health complication including prorate cancer and he had been battling with it since 2 years. His publicist verified he died yesterday, Friday 26th July.
