Ebola case is getting worse with great increase every day-by-day. World Health Organisation has projected that the case of the disease could have exceeded over 20,000, mare than six time doctors are aware of at the moment as further reported by Al Jazeera. Some are areas, most especially remote places of the vulnerable countries could have more than four times the actual expectation. About $500 million is needed by the UN health sect to contain its spread. A new figure just came out today which stated that about 1552 deaths recorded and 3069 cases recorded so far in Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea and Nigeria with Liberia topping the list and Nigeria being the least. Nigeria is striving hard to contain and virtually eradicate further spread. Locally-made drugs and prevention which led to postponement of primary and secondary school resumption. It was also reported that there is a death case recorded in Port Harcourt, south-southern part of Nigeria- a doctor. This is outside Lagos, south-west,and know one could estimate where it might have spread to but I know Nigeria Health parastatals will contain it.
A health personnel is predicting the outbreak will get worse before it gets better. Liberia alone has recorded 624 deaths and 1082 cases of the disease since the beginning of this year which is even expected to be lower that stated as there are some very vulnerable places that even the health worker are unable to reach and are believed to be affected so badly.
Flight companies are beginning to suspend their services to West Africa, mostly the vulnerable countries. Air France and British Airway have already suspended there service in both Sierra Leone and Liberia and giving revocation till , probably, next year.
I just hope something surfaces as fast as possible cos the world is at risk. Currently, tyhe world is expecting to hear GlaxoSmithKline in the human study of the Ebola vaccine which is expected to start in few weeks time. God bless the world....
