EBOLA: PEOPLE BEING MONITORED INCREASE TO 160 IN PORT HARCOURT,NIGERIA

It was reported Thursday, 28th August, that a doctor, Dr Iyke Samuel Emeruo, died of Ebola virus in the city of Port Harcourt, Rivers, south-eastern part of Nigeria, which has been given both Nigerians and the government concern. it is clear that the spread of the virus mainly is due to ignorance and non-chalance. River state health commissioner, Dr Samson Parker, was able to gather information on how the virus spread to the state. A Nigerian diplomat attached to Economic Community of West African states (ECOWAS),Koye Olubukun, absconded from isolation center and travelled to Port Harcourt. Koye was among the people who received the Liberian-American man, Patrick Sawyer, in Lagos. after Koye noticed the symptoms of the virus in him, he trustfully informed a female colleague, Lilian, who intriduced him to Dr. samuel Emeruo in Port Harcourt. This shows that the doctor was also aware of the scene before receiving him. after Dr Emuruo had agreed to treat him, he sneaked out of the isolation center, switched off all his phones and flew to Port Harcourt, lodged in Mushroom Hotel where the doctor came to meet him.
At this moment, people under surveillance in Prot Harcourt have risen from 100 yesterday to 160 and till this moment no one knows the whereabouts of Mr Koya, though it is claimed that the contact tracing team is at work .
I don't think Nigerians need all these, patience is all that is needed except the government is not doing all that has been announce on the media. I feel Nigerians should be vigilant and report any suspected case of strange feelings which are Ebola-related symptom. Help other to help yourself...
