A fresh oil spill again has been recorded in Ibeno Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom state, south-eastern part of Nigeria. The spill which was notice on 29th,June by a fisherman around 4 am said he just noticed that oil fill up his net and all the fishes he caught died. This had led to very low demand of fish since then in the local government. Sellers and fishermen express their grief.
Different bodies have arisen to look into this matter as the community youth put to the street on a peaceful demonstration demanding for compensation from Exxon Mobil that is in charge. I pray this is done as soon as possible...
